The Backyard Grill

My sons took me for my birthday 04/19. Our waiter amazing, friendly, just a fun guy to talk with. The food delicious, savory. I had chicken fried chicken very juicy,and lightly crunchy,my oldest he had snake bite burger he said was delicious right amount of seasoning, my baby boy he had texas medallions, he said, it was sensational and said it was the right amount of seasoning. The amount of food served, wasn't expensive. Thank you guys for wonderful food on my birthday, didn't disappoint.

This place just earned a new regular customer. Not only was Allison awesome as a waitress, the food was good. The reason the Backyard Grill gets five stars from us is because I left my credit card there, came back the next day and they'd dutifully stored it in the safe until it was claimed. Glad we went, and because of this we'll be back as regular customers.

Today father's day 06/15/25 me and my family's first time here. Heard they allowed dogs on the patio and my dog is my daughter. They brought us a water bowl, the music was on point and the food tasted ! Wife didn't like the wings but I other then that it was great! Even though its against the rules my pup got a few fries and she approves as well [picky eater]. Emma was great and she even talked to us about anything but the meal which was awesome! 10/10

Oh my good Lord, maker of all things & provider of all talents... You outdid yourself with The Backyard Grill! The atmosphere, service & food were ALL a 10/10... And in all my 50 years, I have NEVER said that about a restaurant before now. I got a couple good photos of our food, but sadly, we tore into the spinach dip & before I could stop long enough to take a photo, we had eaten half. The prices are very reasonable and the portions you get are well worth the money. You definitely need to flag this on your maps as a place to try if you're ever in the area of 2920/1960. Burgers... Sandwiches...soups/salads... Fajitas... Fish... And more! Such a variety ... there's a dish for every picky eater in your family. Indoor seating feels like you're outdoors--complete with a giant fake tree in the middle of the restaurant, and tons of outdoor seating as well--compete with a small sandbox for the little ones. HUGE BONUS--- Pet-friendly inside & out!! We took our puppy with us today and (naturally) kept him in his carrier, and the staff was so loving toward him. We will definitely be going back.

From the moment we sat down, Valeria made our dining experience truly special. Her warm, welcoming energy instantly made us feel at home. She greeted us with a bright smile and a kind presence that felt genuine—something you don’t always find in a busy restaurant setting. Valeria’s Venezuelan charm shined through in the way she interacted with us. She was attentive without being overbearing, and had a natural ability to connect with guests. We even had a brief conversation about her background, and it was clear she takes pride in both her heritage and her work. It’s refreshing to see someone bring so much heart to what they do. The food was delicious—simple, but done right. I had a classic burger with fries, and everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. But honestly, what made the meal stand out wasn’t just the food—it was the way Valeria made the whole experience feel thoughtful and personal. Great service can turn a good meal into a memorable one, and Valeria absolutely accomplished that. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in her section, you’re in for a treat. She’s the kind of server that makes you want to come back—not just for the food, but for the hospitality.

We love The Backyard Grill! Their food is always fresh, and delicious too! Super family friendly too! The staff is also great, and very friendly! The Backyard Grill does A LOT for our community! Thank you for being an AMAZING partner in education! We 3 The Backyard Grill!

Great family atmosphere. Although mainly Caucasian, we felt welcome despite all the political craziness out there. Will definitely keep in mind next time eating out. Many thanks to our waitress Paula, she was so nice.
